Overview

ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities.

Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.

ITE University of Illinois Chicago (ITE UIC) is a volunteer-run student community who are interested in exploring or aspiring to be future transportation professionals. We are affiliated with the ITE Illinois Section and ITE Great Lakes District. We provide opportunities for learning and networking, including connection to the local, regional, national, and international community of transportation professionals.

We are an inclusive community open to all students interested in transportation, regardless of their major. Whether you are studying civil engineering, urban planning, data science, economics, or public policy, your perspective is valuable here.

Our Mission: To provide students with opportunities for professional growth, hands-on learning, and networking within the multifaceted world of transportation. We bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice.
